ARLINGTON, Virginia - July 2, 2007 - The Ron Paul 2008 presidential campaign today became the first campaign to launch an iPhone platform. This new platform will allow iPhone users to access the campaign's Web 2.0 applications, such as social networking tools and online videos, directly from their iPhones.
"The iPhone is an exciting technology that will help us reach potential voters across the country," states eCampaign director Justine Lam. "The Ron Paul campaign continues to utilize new technologies to spread Dr. Paul's message of freedom, peace and prosperity."
Terra Eclipse of Santa Cruz, California designed this special platform for the Ron Paul campaign. "Our web development team has built a robust tool that will allow iPhone-equipped volunteers to bring Ron Paul's online popularity into offline households in key early primary states," says Wyatt Hull, creative director of Terra Eclipse.

Election 2008
July 1, 2007 - Republican presidential candidate Ron Paul drew more attendees to his rally than the Iowa Tax Forum from which he was excluded. Both the campaign and eyewitnesses say that the campaign rally held next door to the Iowa GOP tax forum sponsored by the Iowans for Tax Relief and the Iowa Christian Alliance, to which Dr. Paul was specifically not invited, drew at least 1,000 individuals. In other words, Dr. Paul drew at least 200-400 more people than the forum, which raises even more questions about the reasoning behind excluding him from their debate, supposedly because he does not have an organization in Iowa, nor the capacity to build one.READ MORE

Election 2008
Presidential candidate Dr. Ron Paul's voice will be heard at the Iowa debates on June 30, even though the event organizers have excluded him for not being a "serious" or "electable" candidate.
Ron Paul will celebrate life and liberty at a rally in Des Moines, Iowa on Saturday, June 30th. Dr. Paul will share his message of freedom, peace and prosperity at the Hy-Vee Hall, Room C, Iowa Events Center, 730 Third Street, Des Moines, Iowa. The rally will start immediately following the conclusion of the Presidential Candidates Forum sponsored by Iowans for Tax Relief and Iowa Christian Alliance at approximately 4:30 p.m.
The public is invited. Food and beverage will be provided to the first 500 people who arrive. FYI: Hundreds and maybe thousands of supporters are meeting in Iowa on June 30 at the Ron Paul Rally after the ITR/ICA Forum.
This event is right next door to the Iowans for Tax Reform debate that Ron Paul was pointedly excluded from. Thus, should more people show up at Paul's event, it will embarrass the debate's organizers.READ MORE

Election 2008
June 16, 2007 - On Technocrati, which offers a real-time glimpse of the blogosphere, the most frequently searched term this week was "YouTube". Then comes "Ron Paul".
The presence of the obscure Republican congressman from Texas on a list that includes terms such as Sopranos, Paris Hilton, and IPhone is a sign of the online buzz building around the long-shot Republican presidential hopeful - even as mainstream political pundits have written him off.
Rep. Ron Paul is more popular on Facebook than Sen. John McCain. He's got more friends on MySpace than former Massachusetts governor Mitt Romney. His MeetUp groups, with 11,924 members in 279 cities, are the biggest in the Republican field. And his official YouTube videos, including clips of his three debate appearances, have been viewed nearly 1.1 million times -- more than those of any other candidate, Republican or Democrat, except Sen. Barack Obama. READ MORE

Election 2008
June 21, 2007 - The decision by a tax watchdog group in Iowa to keep some presidential candidates from attending its political forum in Des Moines next week has led to a barrage of angry responses from supporters of U.S. Rep. Ron Paul, one of the Republicans seeking the GOP nomination.
Paul, a Texas congressman, will not be among the six GOP candidates scheduled to speak at the June 30 event in Des Moines. The forum at Hy-Vee Hall is jointly sponsored by the Iowa Christian Alliance.
Officials of Iowans for Tax Relief said the decision not to invite Paul had to do with his scant campaign organization in the state and his low ranking in Iowa polls.
Participating in the event will be former governors Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, Mitt Romney of Massachusetts and Tommy Thompson of Wisconsin, along with U.S. Sen. Sam Brownback of Kansas and U.S. Reps. Duncan Hunter of California and Tom Tancredo of Colorado. But Paul - like John Cox and Mark Klein, two other Republican candidates - was not invited because the invitations only went to those candidates who are "credible," said Ed Failor Jr., vice president of Iowans for Tax Relief.READ MORE

"A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until a majority of voters discover that they can vote themselves largess out of the public treasury."
