NEW YORK (PNN) - February 8, 2013 - Take a jar of fancy peanut butter, add a dumb joke about explosives at airport security, and you’ve got the makings of a nutty federal lawsuit.

A former New Yorker is suing a TSA worker at LaGuardia Airport and a Port Authority cop for $5 million after they busted him for trying to bring a jar of Crazy Richard’s peanut butter on the plane.

CARY, North Carolina (PNN) - February 3, 2013 - William Bowden painted “Screwed by the Town of Cary” on his house after a road-widening project directed runoff onto his property, damaging his North Carolina home. Within hours, zoning officials paid him a visit, ordering him to remove the sign or pay fines of up to $500 for each day of noncompliance.

Moody’s downgrades 6 Canadian banks!

TORONTO, Ontario, Canada (PNN) - January 29, 2013 - Moody’s Investors Service has downgraded the long-term credit ratings of six Canadian banks, including Toronto-Dominion, Bank of Nova Scotia, Bank of Montreal and CIBC. National Bank and Desjardins were also downgraded.
