This was after JPMorgan Chase was allowed to purchase the assets from failed First Republic Bank.
WASHINGTON (PNN) - October 28, 2021 - After surging an unexpected 8.1% Month over Month in August, and on the heels of rebounds in new- and existing-home sales, Pending Home Sales in September were expected to scrape out a modest 0.5% MoM rise, but that was a long way off as Pending Home Sales tumbled 2.3% MoM.
“Contract transactions slowed a bit in September and are showing signs of a calmer home price trend, as the market is running comfortably ahead of pre-pandemic activity,” said Lawrence Yun, NAR’s chief economist.
“It’s worth noting that there will be less inventory until the end of the year compared to the summer months, which happens nearly every year.”
ZURICH, Switzerland (PNN) - October 11, 2020 - Two German cities, Munich and Frankfurt, were found to have the highest risk of a housing bubble developing in a recent survey released by investment bank UBS Other cities at risk were Toronto, Hong Kong, Paris, Amsterdam and Zurich.
In Munich and Frankfurt, housing prices grew by more than 5% over the course of a year. Prices in Dubai (rank 24) continued to ease after housing boomed between 2010 and 2014 in connection to high oil prices. Unrest in Hong Kong also saw prices decline in the notoriously pricey city and conditions also eased in Madrid (rank 21) and San Francisco (rank 14).
