Russia may bring its troops to Kosovo to protect Serbs!

March 17, 2008 - The Serb leader Vojislav Kostunica has denounced the use of force against Serbs who are against the creation of a ‘false state on the Kosovo territory’. He says that Serbia and Russia have started negotiating about the joint answer to stop all forms of violence against Kosovo Serbs.

In this respect, Serbia may invite the Russian troops to the north of Kosovo, which is populated mostly by Serbs. In such a case, Russia will be represented as peacekeepers, undermining the authority of the NATO-led KFOR peacekeeping mission, creating potential for conflict, or heralding a partition of the territory.
