Big Brother food cameras come to Texas schools!

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - May 11, 2011 - Smile, Texas schoolchildren. You're on calorie camera. That's the idea behind a $2 million project being unveiled Wednesday in the lunchroom of a San Antonio elementary school, where high-tech cameras installed in the cafeteria will begin photographing what foods children pile onto their trays, and later capture what they don't finish eating.

Cops bust teen’s root beer party!

WAUSAU, Wisconsin - May 11, 2011 - Cars lining the street; a house full of young people; a keg and drinking games inside. Police thought they had an underage boozing party on their hands.

But though they made dozens of teens take breath tests, none tested positive for alcohol. That's because the keg contained root beer.

Tech group tears apart FBI tracking device!

NEW YORK - May 10, 2011 - iFixit, a group best known for ripping open new gadgets and examining their internal components, got hold of an actual FBI tracking device from an "unknown owner," who found it underneath his or her car. "Being in its presence, we can almost feel our civil liberties being flushed down the toilet," the group said.

Man set up by police in fake backpack ruse!

ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico - May 9, 2011 - A good Samaritan claims Albuquerque police filed a bogus felony charge against him in a harebrained sting they set up by planting a backpack with beer, cigarettes and a computer outside a high school. He says he picked up the backpack so children wouldn't drink the beer or smoke the cigarettes - for which he was charged with felony larceny.
