The taxes referred to in this video were a special tax enacted to support the cost of World War II. The more familiar income tax was not instituted until May, 1944. Nevertheless, one cannot help but wonder at the insidiousness of the underlying message that paying taxes to the United States government is always a good thing, and anything else is always evil. We certainly learned a lot from the Third Reich.
