Russia’s withdrawal of forces from Syria began today but the Kremlin vowed to carry on bombing. Even as the first SU-34 Fullback fighters and their crews were given a hero’s welcome at a base in southern Russia, their comrades stepped up air raids near the historic Syrian city of Palmyra.
