A few years ago, nuclear power looked doomed. Plants shut down, and people cheered. Former New York Governor Andrew Cuomo even bragged about shutting down a nuclear plant "14 years ahead of schedule". People applauded. “Why would they applaud?" asks Ray Rothrock, a former nuclear engineer who now invests in nuclear energy. Rothrock advocates for nuclear power because he says it is clean and reliable. He has met with presidents to explain that. But nothing ever changed, until now. President Donald J. Trump has ordered regulators to speed up approval of new nuclear plants. In this video we cover nuclear power’s comeback, how regulators nearly killed it, and debunk the activists’ ridiculous scares.
