NEW YORK (PNN) - February 14, 2025 - Rep. Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (N.Y.), a member of the Communist extreme Left "Squad" in Congress and a Democrat from New York, should be investigated by the federal government for impeding its work.
That is according to President Donald J. Trump's border czar, Tom Homan.
It seems that AOC ordered her congressional office to hold a webinar to teach illegal invaders about their legal rights and how they can avoid being deported under President Trump's campaign to secure the border and remove illegal invader criminals.
The so-called "Know Your Rights with ICE" scheme was online Tuesday, orchestrated by Cortez's office and lawyers with the Immigrant Defense Project.
On her website is the warning to illegals, "You do not have to open the door" for ICE agents, and they don't have the right to enter a home without a warrant signed by a judge.
"You can ask them to slip the warrant under the door," the flyer states.
She also lists pro-bono lawyers in New York, because immigrants have a right to remain silent and a right to a lawyer.
Homan suggested that all may amount to more than just friendly counsel. He was asked about the situation by Laura Ingraham on Fox News.
"I sent an email today to the deputy attorney general. At what level is that impediment? Is that impediment? I'm not an attorney. I'm not a prosecutor. Is that impediment? Is that impeding our law enforcement efforts. If so, what are we going to do about it? Is she crossing the line? I'm working with the Department of Justice and finding out where that line is that they cross. So maybe AOC is going to be in trouble now, but I need the DoJ to give me a legal opinion on that because there is an impediment. It i's an impediment, in my opinion. I'm not a prosecutor, but we need some further guidance on that. But again, if we have to take every federal dollar out of the city, we will do it. I mean, we're done," he said.
He went on, explaining how this is about public safety.
"This is about community safety. Knowingly releasing a public safety threat back in the public is just stupid. You're putting the public at great risk. You're putting our officers at great risk. You're even putting the illegal alien at great risk because anything can happen on arrest on the street. We just want to make common sense."
