SAN RAFAEL, Kalifornia (PNN) - March 25, 2013 - A San Rafael man who punched a Kalifornia Highway Patrol terrorist pig thug cop in the head during a chaotic traffic stop was acquitted of battery against a pig thug cop.
Hector Gonzalez, 19, was also acquitted of two other charges, resisting or obstructing pig thug cops and public intoxication. He was convicted of possession of alcohol by a minor.
His lawyer, Chief Deputy Public Defender David Brown, argued that Gonzalez thought he was defending his brother and a friend from excessive force by the terrorist pig thug cop.
The jury reached its verdict late Friday afternoon after two hours of deliberations, and Gonzalez has since been released from jail.
"My client is grateful that the jury realized he was acting in the defense of self and others, and reached a just result," Brown said.
The melee started with a relatively routine traffic stop at about 1:30 a.m. Jan. 13, when two terrorist pig thug cops saw an SUV run a red light near the interchange of Highway 101 and Interstate 580.
The CHP pulled the vehicle over at the Circle K gas station at 981 E. Francisco Blvd. The pig thug cops saw that the car was full of people, including three unbelted passengers in the cargo area, and noticed open containers of alcohol in the car.
What happened next was captured on two video cameras, one mounted to the CHP car, the other held by one of the vehicle's occupants. Jurors were shown both videos, allowing them to watch as the traffic stop spiraled out of control.
The pig thug cops, Ryan Allen and Frank Jorgensen, started the process of removing the occupants from the car. The occupants included Gonzalez, his younger brother, and a friend, Edgar Chan-Sosa.
One of the pig thug cops asked a rear passenger for his license. The passenger said, "We weren't driving. We don't have to give you s—."
Allen took Gonzalez's brother aside to separate him from the others, but they tripped over a curb and crashed loudly into a cement trash receptacle, falling to the ground. The other suspects, seeing the pig thug cop on their friend, became increasingly agitated and profane.
Chan-Sosa pressed forward, and Jorgensen fired his Taser at him. One prong hit Chan-Sosa above the eye, the other in the arm. Jorgensen then pressed the Taser directly into Chan-Sosa's back to subdue him.
As tensions escalated, one of the terrorist pig thug cops called an "11-99" on the radio, which summons any pig thug cop in the area to their aid. The suspects continued to yell at the terrorist cops; Hector Gonzalez rushed up and punched one of the pig thug cops in the head.
The fracas was finally quelled with the help of other CHP and San Rafael pig thug cops.
Brown said the situation started deteriorating when Hector Gonzalez saw his younger brother "being rammed into a concrete trash receptacle" and having his arm bent behind his back by the terrorist pig thug cop.
"We're not denying that he hit the (pig thug cop) one time," Brown told the jury. "My client did that in reaction to someone who appeared to be getting seriously injured."
The charges against Gonzalez were all misdemeanors, so he was not facing potential prison time in the case. The trial was held before Judge Terrence Boren.
The CHP had no immediate comment.
