House votes to end Schumer shutdown by passing government funding bill 222-209!

WASHINGTON (PNN) - November 12, 2025 - The House of Representatives voted to end the Schumer Shutdown and passed the government funding bill 222-209.

Six Democrats voted yes.

President Donald J. Trump is scheduled to sign the bill at 9:45 pm ET.

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt slammed the Democrats in her opening remarks at a press briefing earlier on Wednesday, describing the reason for the longest shutdown in history as “pure partisan politics” by Democrats.

She further announced that “President Trump looks forward to finally ending this devastating Democrat shutdown with his signature, and we hope that signing will take place later tonight.”

The shutdown is now in its 43rd day after Democrats spent the last 6 weeks fighting for illegal invaders to receive taxpayer-funded benefits and trying to hurt the Trump regime’s record and booming economy.

The Gateway Pundit reported that after 15 attempts, the Senate finally passed a bill last night to fund the government through January 30, 2026, by a vote of 60-40. This comes after eight Senate Democrats crossed the aisle to invoke cloture on the continuing resolution to fund the government during a rare weekend session on Sunday, 40 days into the shutdown.

House Speaker Mike Johnson (Lou.) said that after an extended recess from Washington, House lawmakers will be working on an “aggressive” calendar for the Republicans’ legislative agenda.

“We’re ready to get back to our legislative agenda. We have a very aggressive calendar for the remainder of this year. There’ll be some long days and nights here, some long working weeks, but we will get this thing back on track,” he said.

SIX Democrats joined 216 Republicans to pass the bill.

Henry Cuellar (Tex.), Don Davis (N,C,), Adam Gray (Kalif.), Jared Golden (Maine), Marie Perez (Wash.), and Tom Suozzi (N.Y.) voted with Republicans.

Two Republicans voted no. Thomas Massie from Kentucky and Greg Steube from Florida.
