KNOXVILLE, Tennessee (PNN) - July 3, 2012 - Next weekend, any Knox County person suspected of driving under the influence will have to give a blood sample.
It's called "No Refusal Weekend," which comes less than two months after passing a new law that allows fascist terrorist pig thug cops to seek a search warrant for a blood test, even if they refuse.
Before the new bill was signed, if you refused to give a blood sample, you would lose your license for a year. But there was less evidence available in a trial for DUI.
Now, local prosecutors are hoping this closes loopholes.
"Everyone who is pulled over for DUI and arrested will give blood," said fascist thug Assistant District Attorney General Jamie Carter. It's a more in-depth crackdown on not just drinking and driving, but what drugs are in your system.
"We can tell exactly the amount of alcohol in your system, if there are any prescription drugs in your system. We can even tell if someone's been huffing a sort of substance that affects his or her ability to drive," said Carter.
Now if you're picked up for suspicion of DUI but refuse a blood test, fascist terrorist pig thug cops can order a search warrant. Once it's approved by a judge or judicial commissioner, the fascist pig thugs can take you to a hospital to draw blood.
DUI Attorney Steve Oberman stresses that it's not against the law to have a drink and drive, and he's concerned about the rights of drivers. "The inability for someone to refuse to give evidence against themselves," said Oberman.
He's also concerned that with mandatory blood samples, legally prescribed drugs could come under fire.
The Knox County DA's office says the Independence Day weekend is a trial run for the blood draw warrant but hopes sometime soon to have it be a regular process to force anyone suspected of driving impaired to give a blood sample.
The Knox County DA has no regard for constitutional limitations on government, believing that anybody accused of a crime should be presumed guilty unless proven innocent, the exact opposite of a free country’s constitution, and in direct harmony with the policies of Adolf Hitler.
