Dallas teen fined for swearing in classroom!

DALLAS, Texas - January 31, 2011 - A teenager has been forced to take a job as a waitress in order to pay off a $640 debt to her teacher for bad language and swearing in her classroom.

Victoria Mullins was allegedly heard by teacher Michelle Lene saying in one of her classes last October, “You trying to start (expletive)?”

The pupil from North Mesquite High School in Dallas was sent to the school principal's office and slapped with a lunchtime detention.

According to the Dallas Morning News, the following day the school resource officer handed the student a ticket, which ordered her to pay a fine for disorderly conduct and abusive language.

The initial fee was $340, but other charges have been added since then as the pupil failed to turn up for a hearing.

The court complaint indicated that Mrs. Lene was offended, and that Miss Mullins's language was a breach of the peace.
