Before the American Republic existed, our British ancestors, along with most of the world, lived in a two-class system, in which the aristocracy, or nobility, made all of the laws, and the commoners were expected to simply obey them.
Our Declaration of Independence changed that. For the first time ever, a society was established where the ordinary people were the property owners and lawmakers, and all government officials were their public servants.
The American People are the modern day equivalent of the American Nobility. However, we have forgotten our heritage. Today, most Americans act as if their government rules over them. This is a sad commentary, considering that our Founding Fathers risked their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor so that Americans would never again have to bend their knees to an oppressive, tyrannical government.
If you KNEW, with every fiber of your being, that you are nobility, or better yet, royalty… would you behave any differently when dealing with your public servants?
