September 21, 2010 - Governments interact with Google on a regular basis, and this has been known to make both privacy groups and users nervous. To address those fears, Google has taken the unusual step of broadcasting when its service is interrupted or a government requests information.

A simple site called the Google Transparency Report has been established to relay this information. On it, there's one page each to cover government requests, traffic, and frequently asked questions.

LONDON, England - September 21, 2010 - The UK's tax collection agency is putting forth a proposal that all employers send employee paychecks to the government, after which the government would deduct what it deems as the appropriate tax and pay the employees by bank transfer.

The proposal by Her Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (HMRC) stresses the need for employers to provide real-time information to the government so that it can monitor all payments and make a better assessment of whether the correct tax is being paid.

QUINCY, Kalifornia - September 15, 2010 - Ruth Jackson of Quincy filed a lawsuit Friday, August 27, against two current Quincy Area Kalifornia Highway Patrol Officers and one officer who used to be stationed here.

The lawsuit names Officers Lacey Heitman, Jim Weaton and former Quincy Area Commander Paul Davis, recently promoted to captain and stationed in the Ukiah office, as defendants.

HOUSTON, Texas - September 11, 2010 - A Houston ISD police officer is on leave and under investigation because of what a student says happened to him on a bus. The incident at the center of the allegations was recorded on camera.

It was on a bus outside Yates High School in southeast Houston Thursday afternoon where Molica Lewis says her son was so badly beaten that his face will never be the same.

We need to get a Senator to introduce this bill in the U.S. Senate and a Representative to introduce a similar bill in the U.S. House.  These people will become American heroes.
