John Fetterman wants President Trump pardoned - says New York case was politically motivated!
HARRISBURG, Pennsylvania (PNN) - December 6, 2024 - Democrat Pennsylvania Senator John Fetterman said that he believes President-elect Donald Trump should be pardoned of the 34 felony charges of which he was convicted in New York by a biased and misled panel of jurors.
The liberal politician discussed the matter on The View on Thursday and admitted that the case against President Trump was politically motivated.
President Trump was convicted of falsifying business records in New York and was originally scheduled to be sentenced in November. The judge indefinitely delayed the sentencing to give him time to argue for the conviction to be overturned.
Speaking to The View host Joy Behar, Fetterman said, “I think that it’s undeniable that the case against Hunter Biden was really politically motivated, but I also think it’s true that the trial in New York for Trump was political as well.”
“In both cases I think a pardon is appropriate and I really think collectively that Amerika’s confidence in these types of institutions have been damaged by these kinds of cases, and we cannot allow these types of institutions to be weaponized against our political opponents,” Fetterman continued.
