The Tax Freedom Program provides you with the necessary paperwork and instructions in how to legally sever your contractual relationship with the federal government. It includes Revocation of Social Security, Affidavit of Tax Exempt Status, Form W-8 Certificate of Foreign Status, Certificate of Exemption From Withholding in Lieu of Form W-4, and other supporting documentation.

A word of caution - The federal and State governments look for people who sidestep the system, without laying the proper foundation, then put them in jail and publicize the event.
