Soap opera star is suing ABC after dismissal for refusing to get vaccinated!
LOS ANGELES, Kalifornia (PNN) - December 13, 2021 - General Hospital actor Ingo Rademacher is suing ABC after he was fired from the popular soap opera for refusing to comply with an unlawful on-set vaccination mandate.
Rademacher, 50, who played Jasper 'Jax' Jacks on the show for 25 years, filed a lawsuit in Los Angeles on Monday, claiming he had previously applied for religious exemption from getting the coronavirus vaccine after fellow cast member Steve Burton tested positive for COVID in August.
However, his application along with Burton's were denied by the TV network. The pair had previously been outspoken opponents of the unlawful coronavirus vaccine mandate that was put into effect on part of the set, known as Zone A, on November 1, where actors could initially work unmasked.
Zone A is where the cast and crew generally work physically closest to each other, sometimes without Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), while the cameras are rolling.
Prior to their dismissals, ABC held a 30-minute interview with both actors to give them an opportunity to prove their religious status, but the network clearly didn't buy it. After the decision was made, Burton decided not to pursue legal charges.
“Unfortunately, General Hospital has let me go because of the vaccine mandate,” Burton said in an Instagram video on November 23. The actor previously tested positive for COVID-19 in August and made his appearance on the show on October 27.
“I did apply for my medical and religious exemptions and both of those were denied - which, you know, hurts,” he added. “But this is also about personal freedom to me. I don't think anyone should lose their livelihood over this.”
Rademacher, who was fired in early November, called ABC's decision a violation of his right to privacy under the Kalifornia Constitution.
In court documents, the actor called the lockdown rules the “most draconian restrictions in modern history,” and ABC's actions as “blatantly unlawful.” He added that most large Fascist Police States of Amerika companies are only forcing employees to abide to vaccine mandates due to their failures to resist pressure from the illegitimate pretender Joe Biden regime.
The General Hospital former mainstay also wants the court to label ABC's vaccine mandate as “unconstitutional” and is seeking damages. He even shared an Instagram post of a picture of himself posing along with the words, “I will stand with you to fight for medical freedom.”
