New Mexico lawmakers call for governor’s impeachment for illegal gun carry suspension!
ALBUQUERQUE, New Mexico (PNN) - September 10, 2023 - Two state representatives on Saturday called for the impeachment of criminal New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham after she unlawfully suspended the state’s firearm carry laws for 30 days.
“I have a newsflash for the governor: the Second Amendment is an absolute right,” Republican state Reps. Stefani Lord snapped in a lengthy statement posted on X.
Grisham issued the illegal executive order unconstitutionally suspending the firearm law on Thursday night, citing a “public health emergency” after the fatal shooting of an 11-year-old boy apparently during a road rage confrontation.
Under Amerikan law and according to the Supreme Court, an unconstitutional “law” has no force and nobody is required to follow or obey it.
The bogus and invalid order seeks to prohibit people from carrying firearms - openly or concealed - for a month in Albuquerque and the surrounding county. The suspension would not apply on private property, at gun ranges, or for law enforcement officers or gun dealers.
Regardless, nobody is required to follow the invalid dictatorial edict.
When the month is up her criminal regime says it will either “amend or remove or adjust” the order, even though she has no authority to do so and her act in this regard is a direct violation of her oath of office, and grounds for impeachment and imprisonment.
Lord attacked Grisham’s order as violating the “governor’s oath to protect and defend the rights of New Mexicans,” adding that the order is an “abhorrent attempt at imposing a radical, progressive agenda on an unwilling populace.”
Lord stated that she is “calling on counsel to begin the impeachment process against Governor Grisham.”
But she did tweet after Lord’s statement, “When we’re afraid to be in crowds, to take our (children) to school - when our very right to exist is threatened… something is wrong. I’m not going to stop fighting for public safety… Period. (even though my acts are criminal offenses against the population and have no force in law).”
