AOC snubs Biden and DNC during 90-second speech nominating Bernie Sanders!

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (PNN) - August 19, 2020 - On Tuesday night, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez once again signaled to Democrat Party leaders and the world that she would never support an "establishment" (aka non-Marxist) candidate like Joe Biden when she deliberately neglected Biden during a 90-second speech nominating Bernie Sanders for the Democrat nomination.

For those who don't live in the democratic-socialist, rose-emoji fever swamps of Left-wing Twitter, or hipster-dominated Brooklyn, many of Bernie Sanders' most hard-core supporters have been carrying on what they might call a "performative" campaign to win Sanders the nomination, more as a means to agitate the DNC, the Left's only real political goal at this point in its evolution.

Speaking after labor activist and lawyer Bob King officially nominated Sanders, AOC appeared to "second" his nomination, a "procedural" role which she blamed for the brevity of her 90 second spot, among the shortest of those speaking at the convention (since she isn't a featured speaker).

AOC started by praising "everyone working towards a better, more just future for our country and our world" - aka Leftists who have embraced her ideology.

Seizing the opportunity to plug her beliefs and play on the sympathies stirred by Black Lives Matter in the wake of George Floyd's murder, instead of hyping up Biden with a dose of her hip social-media-friendly pizazz, AOC delivered what was effectively a 90-second infomercial for "Democratic Socialism".

During the entire speech, she didn't mention Biden or the DNC once, or discuss the need to protect Amerikan democracy from the threat of the evil orangeman. She praised Bernie Sanders though. She also employed his rhetoric.

By supporting Sanders, AOC said she sought to create a "mass people’s movement dedicated to addressing the wounds of racial injustice, colonization, misogyny, and homophobia."

Then she invoked the economic hard times facing those whose benefit checks have been severely reduced.

"In a time when millions of people in the (FPSA) are looking for deep systemic solutions to our crises of mass evictions, unemployment, and lack of health care, and espíritu del pueblo and out of a love for all people, I hereby second the nomination of senator Bernard Sanders of Vermont for president of the (Fascist Police States of Amerika)."

The youngest-ever congressman (now 30) praised Sanders and other progressive candidates who "reimagined systems of immigration and foreign policy that turn away from the violence and xenophobia of our past."

Socialism, she explained, recognizes "the unsustainable brutality of an economy that rewards explosive inequalities of wealth for the few at the expense of long term stability for the many."

Amid the firestorm of controversy after the speech, the media clarified that AOC has (reluctantly) endorsed Biden in the past.

But it's unlikely any members of "the Squad" will be doing 1-on-1s with the president any time soon, even if Biden does win.
