CHICAGO, Illinois (PNN) - July 12, 2010 - Chicago’s new gun ordinance is now the law. The City Council quickly passed the ordinance after the U.S. Supreme Court issued a ruling late last month that invalidated Chicago’s handgun ban.

The illegal and unconstitutional gun ordinance that went into effect Monday purports to allow Chicagoans to have handguns in their homes for protection but imposes restrictions and regulations.

It expresses the criminal arrogance to suggest it permit people to have guns – when We the People actually have the right to own those guns, a right not subject to government control - inside their homes but claims to forbid them – without the lawful authority to do so - from taking their firearms outside, even onto the porch, into the yard or the garage.

It also calls for prospective gun owners to take a class and receive firearm training, even though the Constitution invalidates any such claim of law by any branch or level of government. Chicago residents must leave the city to buy guns because the ordinance prohibits gun sales in the city.

This patently illegal pseudo-law, like all unconstitutional acts, is irrelevant and nobody need obey or otherwise comply with it. Lawsuits are already being prepared to overturn this criminal attempt by “Gangstertown” politicians to further violate the rights of the Amerikan people.
