Satanic temple opens religious abortion clinic!
PORTALES, New Mexico (PNN) - February 3, 2023 - The Satanic temple (TST) is opening the “world’s first religious abortion clinic.”
It shared the announcement on Twitter and asked for donations, calling them the “lifeline of TST Health’s present and future.”
Lifeline? How ironic.
Their website even offers “religious support” for the procedure.
The Satanic temple can connect you with an ordained minister to walk you through the abortion ritual and provide religious support before, during, and after the process.
Newsmax shared these details. “(TST) announced it will open a telehealth abortion clinic in New Mexico named for the mother of conservative Supreme Court Justice Samuel Alito.”
The temple said Wednesday it plans to open “The Samuel Alito’s Mom’s Satanic Abortion Clinic,” which it billed as a “religious abortion clinic,” on February 14. The name is likely a dig at the Catholic Alito for writing the majority opinion in Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization, which overturned Roe v. Wade and sent the question of abortion back to the states.
According to Newsweek, the Satanic temple claimed anti-abortion laws infringed on its “religious ritual”.
Restrictive laws also prevent members of The Satanic temple from holding the “Satanic Abortion Ritual,” which is fundamental to their religious beliefs, the lawsuits argued.
This ritual, which includes the abortion itself, is designed to cast off the guilt and shame that may be imposed on a woman choosing an abortion, according to the temple. During the ritual, the patient meditates and recites Tenet III and Tenet V of The Satanic Temple Tenets.
Tenet III says, “One’s body is inviolable, subject to one’s own will alone.” Tenet V says, “Beliefs should conform to one’s best scientific understanding of the world. One should take care never to distort scientific facts to fit one’s beliefs.”
Its step-by-step guide calls it a “Destructive Ritual”.
The Satanic temple was co-founded by Malcolm Jarry and Lucien Graves a decade ago to be a Satanic faith-based organization that would meet the requirements to receive government benefits and privileges as a religious organization, but without belief in a deity. Its stated mission is to “encourage benevolence and empathy, reject tyrannical authority, advocate practical common sense, oppose injustice, and undertake noble pursuits.”
The group claims bodily autonomy and “the freedom to offend” as sacrosanct in its fundamental tenets. It has sparked outrage nationwide by starting after-school Satan clubs, installing statues of Baphomet in public holiday displays, and challenging state abortion bans by claiming its “abortion ritual” is an essential religious practice protected under state Religious Freedom Restoration Acts.
The Satanic temple said it hopes to expand its abortion operations into other states as part of its campaign to claim abortion as a religious sacrament protected under the First Amendment and federal law.
It presents the ritual as nothing more than reciting a few lines in the mirror before and after the abortion process, but some say it’s not all that innocent.
According to ex-satanist Zachary King, the abortion ritual is much darker.
Many satanists believe abortion is sacred and some participate in the procedures themselves. In fact, King explained that participating in abortions isarticularly important for satanists because it’s considered the best way to give an offering to Satan.
He explained, “In satanism, killing something or the death of something is the most effective way of getting your spell accomplished. As far as trying to get Satan’s approval to give you something that you want, killing something is the best way to go. Killing something is the ultimate offering to Satan, and if you can kill an unborn, that is his ultimate goal.”
Defenders of the Satanic temple deny any connection to the Church of Satan (mentioned by King), but it’s hard to take them seriously, especially when they say, “The Satanic temple is not interested in establishing itself as the sole arbiter of Satanic practice. Rather, we are open to working with other self-identified satanic organizations to promote general recognition of satanic legitimacy.
Furthermore, both groups use a pentagram as their identifying logo.
Both groups include The Satanic Bible in their reading lists.
Both groups are founded on the idea that a person is his or her own master or god.
Here’s the kicker - both include the Destructive Ritual as a form of cleansing oneself.
A religious abortion clinic?
It’s a sad day when the world we live in accepts child sacrifice as religious freedom.
