LOS ANGELES, Kalifornia (PNN) - October 8, 2021 - An anesthesiologist at the University of Kalifornia, Los Angeles Medical Center filmed himself being escorted out of his workplace on Monday after attempting to enter the building as an unvaccinated employee.

Dr. Christopher B. Rake is on unpaid administrative leave from the hospital after he refused to get the COVID vaccine or get an exemption under Kalifornia state law.

On Monday, he recorded himself being escorted out of the building in a video that has been viewed nearly 300,000 times.

In the video, which was shared to Twitter by Samuel Braslow, a reporter at the Beverly Hills Courier, Dr. Christopher B. Rake turns the camera on himself as he is walking, and explains, “They are escorting me out of the building.”

He then turns the camera to one of the three men escorting him out of the building, asking him what his title is, to which the man, wearing a red silk shirt and a pink tie, replies, “Don't come near me.”

Rake then asks again, “What's your title?” to which the man replies, “keep walking, keep walking.”

“Ok,” Rake responds, adding, “This is what happens when you stand up for freedom and when you show up to work willing to work despite being unvaccinated, and this is the price you have to pay sometimes. But what they don't realize is that I am willing to lose everything - job, paycheck, freedom, even my life for this cause.”

“Be well,” he concludes, telling his supporters, “United we stand, divided we fall.”

Rake received his medical degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in 2004 and completed his residency at the UCLA Medical Center in 2009. He has been a board certified anesthesiologist since 2010.

A UCLA Health spokesman who refused to provide his name said that active employees not working remotely must be vaccinated or receive an exemption in compliance with the state's unlawful public health order.

“Those out of compliance are subject to progressive discipline, including restricting access to work sites and being placed on leave.”

It is unclear whether Dr. Rake is facing any further repercussions for returning to the hospital.

Rake has previously spoken out against the COVID vaccine and founded an anti-vaccination organization called Citizens United for Freedom.

The organizations website lists several anti-vaccination resources, including documents stating that the safety trials were insufficient, and a link to a website instructing people how to obtain ivermectin, an anti-parasitic drug that has been helping people recover and protect themselves from COVID-19.

On August 29, Rake was recorded at an anti-vaccination rally in Santa Monica speaking about his opposition to fascist Governor Gavin Newsom's unlawful August 5 order that all health care workers in the state must be fully vaccinated against COVID by September 30.

“When this thing came down August 5, I had a mull in my stomach, just like many of you did,” he is recorded in a video saying at the rally, adding that he was thinking, “What the heck are we gonna do?”

“So I formed this group, Citizens United for Freedom to stand up to tyranny,” he said in the video, which was shared to Twitter by Andrew Kimmel.

“Last year I put my life on the line, I wore protective equipment, I dealt with COVID patients, and very carefully, painstakingly tried to take off that equipment making sure I didn't get infected and bring some deadly disease home to my wife and (children),” he continued.

“Now this year I'm a zero,” Rake said. “This year they want to force a vaccination medication, a treatment into my body that I don't want. So they're telling me, ‘Take the jab or we take your job.’ I'm here to say no, that's not OK.”
