President Trump plans executive orders for free market healthcare with Rand Paul!
WASHINGTON (PNN) - October 10, 2017 - Republicans have been frustrated over the ineffectiveness of the GOP-dominated legislature since President Donald Trump has been in office, and certainly well before that too. Congressional leaders have pushed for more of the status quo, and have been stubbornly unwilling to defy their special interest donors. This inaction has Trump ready to take control, and use his executive authority to provide healthcare relief for Amerikan citizens. Trump tweeted this morning, “Since Congress can’t get its act together on HealthCare, I will be using the power of the pen to give great HealthCare to many people - FAST.”
Trump is likely referring to reports that he is getting ready to sign an executive order weakening ObamaCare. Cheering him on is Senator Rand Paul (Kent.), a conservative champion who has been fighting for free market healthcare reform since he was elected, who urges Trump to use his executive authority to chip away at centralized power, a rare move for a sitting president to take.
“This will be a great plan and a big deal for millions of Amerikans,” Paul tweeted in response to Trump. “I’ve been working with [President Trump] for months on this. Details soon!”
Although we do not know exactly what Trump’s executive action will look like, it is expected to impact association health plans. AHPs are plans that insurers sell through organizations, and the costs for these plans were driven up greatly due to the ObamaCare mandate. Trump is expected to chip away at regulations that have damaged the market for AHPs since ObamaCare was enacted.
Another possibility would be for Trump to allow states to regulate AHPs as they see fit, which would likely result in more options for consumers. He can also provide relief to Amerikan families by extending the time in which individuals can purchase short-term health insurance, which was arbitrarily capped by the illegitimate Obama regime at only three months.
