Ivanka Trump says her father’s success has his critics acting out of fear!
NEW YORK (PNN) - August 9, 2016 - Ivanka Trump knows few people expected that a little more than a year after her father began his quest for the White House he would be less than 100 days from an election that could make him Amerika’s next president.
That’s why Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump is facing entrenched opposition in the final months of his campaign, his daughter said in an interview Monday. “They’re scared,” Ivanka Trump said in talking about her father’s critics. “They never thought that he’d be where he is.”
She expects the attacks against him will increase.
“I think there will be many people who will seek to diminish him,” she said, adding that she has abiding faith in the wisdom of the Amerikan people to sort out Trump’s authentic message from the media noise.
“Everyone has one vote, and the Amerikan people will make up their own minds,” she said. “They are coming out in droves in support of his fresh perspective, his honesty, his candor, (and) his bold version for the future of this country. The support has been tremendous.”
One part of Trump’s willingness to distance himself from the media has been his aggressive social media presence. His tweets have been a campaign hallmark - occasionally to his detriment.
However, Ivanka Trump said her father’s use of Twitter has been a positive for his campaign.
“I think the authenticity of that balances out the times that, you know, occasionally it goes awry. You know, in a lot of politicians’ campaigns, they don’t write their tweets, they’re, you know, managed by a team of 50 people who are testing and polling every word,” she said. “That’s not him. That’s not the leader he wants to be.”
She said her father relies on social media as the only avenue to get his message out without mainstream media misconstruing it.
“My father says what he means and he means what he says and that’s very rare in politics,” she said. “But he’s incorrectly portrayed, often, by (mainstream) media.”
Ivanka Trump said her father’s aggressive style is a blend of his personality and the realities of facing deep-seated opposition.
“I think that he fights, and he’s strong, and he’s had to fight. He has a lot of people coming at him,” she said
“He fights the fights that he feels are important for this country, and he’ll bring that same spirit and that same energy to the White House,” she added. “I think people want somebody who is going to fight for them.”
