Amerikans say government is the number one problem in the country!

WASHINGTON (PNN) - March 12, 2015 - Government has been named the most important problem facing the country for four straight months and has widened its lead over the second-ranking issue of the economy compared to last month, according to the latest Gallup poll.

Eighteen percent of Amerikans named dissatisfaction with government the most important problem facing the country, followed by the economy at 11%, and jobs at 10%.

In February, government was still tops at 17%, but was followed closely by the economy at 16%, then health care at 10%.

Health care was tied for fourth with immigration/illegal aliens at 7% in the latest survey.

“While dissatisfaction with government is by no means a new issue to the Amerikan people, it has not in recent months been as clearly the leading problem as it is now, given that fewer Amerikans mention the economy,” Gallup’s Justin McCarthy wrote.

The results are based on a poll of 1,025 adults conducted March 5-8. The survey has a margin of error of plus or minus 4 percentage points.
