Water prank may land radio show hosts in jail!
ORLANDO, Florida (PNN) - April 3, 2013 - Two popular radio show hosts may find themselves locked up for telling their listeners the truth; that Dihydrogen Monoxide (water) is flowing from their household taps! Dihydrogen Monoxide is just the chemical name for H2O, that’s right, water! But unfortunately many Americans don’t know basic chemistry.
The ignorance of the public may cost the two radio show hosts their freedom for telling the truth. Listeners in Lee County Florida started to panic when Val and Scott in the Morning WWGR 101.9 FM announced the obvious that Dihydrogen Monoxide is flowing from the public’s pipes.
“They were joking that ‘dihydrogen monoxide’ was coming out of Lee County residents’ taps,” reports Florida’s WPTV, the WWGR radio station retracted the statements from the two and explained it was all just a joke, even though they were correct in saying that Dihydrogen Monoxide was coming out of their faucets.
Nevertheless, the two hosts may face felony charges for the prank. Should these two lose their jobs and their freedom for saying water is coming out of people’s taps? For telling the truth? Is it their fault the public is too ignorant to know that Dihydrogen Monoxide is the chemical name for H2O, water? Maybe if the public paid attention in chemistry they would know Dihydrogen Monoxide is harmless.
This really shouldn’t surprise anyone. The public still thinks that Carbon Dioxide Co2 is a deadly poison, a pollutant that should be regulated by the government. The public is so infatuated with reality TV shows and ball games to educate themselves on basic chemistry. I wonder if someone announced publicly that fluoride, a real toxic compound was in the water that people would react the same way, or would just ignore it because fluoride is in toothpaste. Meanwhile people will still drink sodium fluoride from their drinking water and eat their GMO happy meals.
