New York Times staffed by illiterate idiots!
By Brent Johnson
NEW YORK - June 28, 2008 - I have finally had enough! I am fed up with remaining silent!
For decades, The New York Times provided the best,
most intellectually satisfying, and hardest crossword puzzle in the united
States of America. Outside of the London
Times, many considered it to be the best puzzle in the world. Every day, the solver was intellectually
challenged by the Times crossword.
If a smart person really thought about it and analyzed the clues, he or
she could solve it. It was a thing of
beauty for thinking people. But no
more.
In modern America, where the general population has been
stupidified by broken education and healthy propaganda systems, The New
York Times crossword puzzle has become a thing of ugliness. Proponents of Ebonics could not have
imagined the degree to which The Times puzzle has debased the English
language and its own reputation.
Today’s New York Times crossword puzzle is filled
with slang, illiteracies, nonexistent words, and fabricated solutions designed
to fill up space and nothing more. An
intelligent person will be unable to solve the puzzle, because its definitions
do not follow either logical analysis or dictionary definitions. In the relentless pursuit of greater
profits, The New York Times resorts to arbitrary computer-generated
responses to create its puzzles. No
human participates in the creation of the puzzles, so whatever the computer
provides is what is used in the final product.
For example, when the definition is “laid back”, the answer
is “lahdeeda”! Or the definition is
“Say _____” and the answer is “what”!
This certainly requires intelligence to solve (NOT)!
These do not provide an intellectual exercise. Rather, they are an exercise in idiocy and
futility. If you solve their modern day
crossword puzzles, then you need to not think like an intelligent being, but
rather think like a moron.
The New York Times
now caters to the stupid and unintelligent.
Its crossword puzzles reflect that change.
That is... The Way I See It!
