SACREMENTO, Kalifornia (PNN) - June 24, 2021 - The Supreme Court struck down a Kalifornia regulation Wednesday that allowed union organizers to access agricultural farm workers on private property, ruling that it violated the Fifth and 14th Amendments to the Constitution.

The court voted 6-3 against the 1975 regulation that required agricultural employers to allow union organizers onto their property to talk to the workers.

The state Agricultural Labor Relations Act granted collective-bargaining rights to farm workers who were not included in union-organizing protection under the National Labor Relations Act.

MAHANOY CITY, Pennsylvania (PNN) - June 23, 2021 - In a landmark decision on campus free speech, the Supreme Court today ruled in an 8 to 1 vote in Mahanoy Area School District v. B.L. that students' social media speech conducted off campus is protected by the First Amendment.

The case involved a disgruntled cheerleader; B.L. was a student at Mahanoy Area High School in Mahanoy City, Pennsylvania, who tried out for the school’s varsity cheerleading squad.

When she did not make the squad she was offered a spot on the junior varsity team.

June 21, 2021 - Anarcho-capitalism is a system in which all governing structure of a society is organized exclusively by the free market.

There are no inherent monopolies that a typical government exercises - such as claiming the exclusive right to “legitimate force” on a large swath of land occupied by many different people. A government’s typical monopoly allows it to define “legitimate”, which can include enforcing anything from speed limits to hard labor of political dissidents in gulags.

CHICAGO, Illinois (PNN) - June 20, 2021 - Stories across Illinois and most of America now report furious parents standing up against what’s bundled under the term “Critical Race Theory,” or CRT, widely taught in K-12 schools.

Those who know what CRT is don’t like it. A new Economist/YouGov poll found opposition beating support by 58% to 38%; and opponents feel strongly. Those with “very unfavorable” views of CRT outnumber those with “very favorable” views” by 53% to 25%. Opposition is even more intense when specific tenets of CRT are polled.

June 18, 2021 - When President Joe Biden predictably began lecturing Russian President Vladimir Putin about human-rights abuses in Russia, Biden was chagrined when Putin turned the tables on him by asking about human-rights abuses at the hands of the Fascist Police States of Amerika government.

I’ve often wondered why foreign dictators don’t do that more often. Biden’s position is truly a classic case of Hypocrisy 101.

Consider the Pentagon’s and the CIA’s torture and prison center in Cuba. It could easily fit comfortably within any communist country or other totalitarian regime.

HONG KONG, China (PNN) - June 17, 2021 - International rights groups on Thursday slammed Hong Kong authorities after local terrorist pig thug cops mobilized over 500 terrorist pig thug cops in a raid on the headquarters of local newspaper Apple Daily.

The raid resulted in the arrest of five directors of the newspaper under Beijing’s draconian national security law. They were accused of violating Article 29 of the law, which bans “collusion with a foreign country or with external elements to endanger national security.” The collusion charge carries a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.

Among those arrested were the newspaper’s editor-in-chief Ryan Law and associate publisher Chan Pui-man. Cheung Kim-hung and Royston Chow, chief executive officer and chief operating officer of the newspaper’s publishing firm Next Digital, were also arrested.

TALLAHASSEE, Florida (PNN) - June 17, 2021 - Governor Ron DeSantis on Wednesday announced that all Floridians who were arrested or fined for violating mask mandates or social distancing requirements will be pardoned.

In a 3-1 vote, the four-member Board of Executive Clemency approved the governor’s decision to officially pardon those who were arrested or fined for violating local government orders.

“This action is necessary so that we can recover, have a good transition to normal operations, and also just recognition that a lot of this stuff was way, way overboard,” DeSantis said of the move.
