Action Alert: School cop shoots student with Taser!
Criminal police officer decides to Taser student for “not
obeying orders”.
KATY, Texas - October 25, 2008 - A Katy Independent School
District police officer used a Taser to control a Mayde Creek High School
student Wednesday afternoon.
The district released a statement, explaining two students were fighting and the officer discharged the Taser when one them refused to obey his order to stop.
“Earlier this afternoon, two students were observed by Katy ISD police officers getting into an altercation with each other,” the statement said.
“One of the students refused to comply with the officer’s commands, and it was the officer’s professional judgment that the use of a Taser was necessary for the safety of the student, the officer and others in the area.”
The use of a Taser is not outlined in the “Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct,” but the handbook leaves room for alternative forms of discipline.
It states, “Discipline management techniques used when students violate the Discipline Management Plan and Student Code of Conduct shall include, but not be limited to the following…”
The district ensured the officer’s actions were appropriate to control the situation.
“Katy ISD police officers are sworn Texas peace officers and are fully certified in the proper use of Tasers in a school setting,” the statement said.
“It is unfortunate that this had to happen; however, it is expected that our officers will use appropriate means to keep our schools and students safe.”
Ed. Note: When is enough, enough! Will you never start shooting back at these criminal police? If not, then you are cowards and deserve your fate.
