AUSTIN, Texas (PNN) - July 28, 2021 - Texas House Speaker Dade Phelan has signed an arrest warrant for one of the runaway Texas Democrats holed up in Washington, D.C., to avoid debating an elections integrity bill back home.

The civil warrant seeks the arrest of Democrat state Rep. Philip Cortez, who made a jaunt to Texas last week and then returned to Washington.

The warrant calls for Cortez to be brought to the House. It currently is not enforceable while Cortez is in Washington.

CINCINNATI, Ohio (PNN) - July 23, 2021 - A federal appeals court ruled Friday that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) exceeded its authority by temporarily halting evictions amid the nonexistent pandemic.

In a unanimous ruling, a three-judge panel of the Cincinnati-based Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals agreed with a lower court that the agency had overreached with its eviction moratorium, which is set to expire at the end of July.

PHOENIX, Arizona (PNN) - July 27, 2021 - Arizona senators issued a new subpoena to the state’s largest county on July 26 for materials related to the 2020 election.

Arizona Senate President Karen Fann and Arizona Senate Judiciary Chairman Warren Petersen have ordered Maricopa County’s Board of Supervisors to turn over ballot envelopes or ballot envelope images, voter records, and routers or router images.

The Board was also commanded to provide all findings concerning any systems breach that took place within six months of the November 3, 2020 election, as well as all usernames and passwords for machines used in the election.

The Cincinnati-based FPSA Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously agreed with a lower court ruling that said the CDC engaged in federal overreach with the eviction moratorium, which the agency has consistently extended for months. Several weeks ago, the CDC announced it would allow the policy, which was passed into law by Congress, to expire at the end of July.
