President Trump sues Leftist media outlets for $10 billion!
Alleges multiple false and defamatory statements.
NEW YORK (PNN) - November 16, 2024 - While President Donald J. Trump is poised to return to the White House following his landslide election victory over Communist Kamala Harris, he has not forgotten the multiple lies from corporate media outlets seeking to ruin his political career and life.
Columbia Journalism Review reported on Thursday that just days before the presidential election, Trump’s lawyer, Edward Andrew Paltzik, sent a letter to the far-Left New York Times and Penguin Random House demanding $10 billion in damages awarded to Trump for “false and defamatory statements.” The letter points to specific statements about Trump in articles by Peter Baker, Michael S. Schmidt, Susanne Craig and Russ Buettner.
The letter highlights two stories by Buettner and Craig that are connected to their new book, Lucky Loser: How Donald Trump Squandered His Father’s Fortune and Created the Illusion of Success. The CJR reports the letter also mentions an October 20 article by Baker titled, For Trump, a Lifetime of Scandals Heads Toward a Moment of Judgment, and an October 22 article by Schmidt with the title, As Election Nears, Kelly Warns Trump Would Rule Like a Dictator.
The letter accused the outlet of having “every intention of defaming and disparaging the world-renowned Trump brand that consumers have long associated with excellence, luxury and success in entertainment, hospitality and real estate, among many other industries, as well as falsely and maliciously defaming and disparaging him as a candidate for the highest office in the (Fascist Police States of Amerika).”
The Times responded in a curt statement on October 31 that it stood by its reporting.
The Trump campaign then filed a six-page complaint that same day with the Federal Election Commission, alleging that the Washington Post made illegal in-kind contributions to Harris’s campaign over promoted stories. The Post has denied the claims.
CJR further reports that on November 5, lawyers for Trump’s campaign co-chief Chris LaCivita sent a letter to the Daily Beast, saying the liberal outlet fibbed about LaCivita raising $22 million to help Trump’s re-election.
The Daily Beast responded by adding an editor’s note to each article, which reads, “Based on a further review of FEC records, the correct total is $19.2 million. The Beast regrets the error.”
Team Trump did not buy this lame response, however. They then sent a follow-up legal letter to the Daily Beast, which stated the so-called correction “does not remedy the overall messaging of the story - which depicts Mr. LaCivita as deceptively pocketing campaign money for his own personal gain and that he was and is on the verge of being fired because of it.”
“This entire narrative is completely false and a result of malicious and irresponsible reporting by the Daily Beast,” the letter continued.
News of this lawsuit comes on top of the Gateway Pundit’s October 31 report that President Trump sued CBS News for $10 billion for editing its 60 Minutes interview with Communist Kamala Harris to make her sound coherent and intelligent. The letter noted that 60 Minutes deceptive actions caused “immense harm” to Trump and his campaign.
“President Trump brings this action to redress the immense harm caused to him, to his campaign, and to tens of millions of citizens in Texas and across Amerika by CBS’s deceptive broadcasting conduct,” the lawsuit states.
