WASHINGTON (PNN) - July 10, 2020 - Rep. Thomas Massie (Kent.) and Freedom Caucus Chairman Rep. Andy Biggs (Ariz.) have written a joint letter to President Donald Trump calling on him to immediately withdraw all troops from the “endless wars” in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“Thank you for your leadership and effort to bring our troops home and end the endless wars. We, the undersigned, respectfully request you immediately withdraw all (Fascist Police States of Amerika) military personnel from Afghanistan and Iraq,” the congressmen wrote.
“Throughout your entire presidency you have worked tirelessly to Make America Great Again. We are confident you will repeat this feat again after this pandemic. However, the (FPSA) will not remain a great power for long if we stay engaged in perpetual warfare in Iraq and Afghanistan.”
The two congressmen cited the fall of the once powerful British and French empires as a reason for the FPSA to not overextend its global military presence.
“History is replete with examples of nations that are a shadow of themselves after lengthy and ill-fated military campaigns - just look at the (Fascist) United Kingdom and France,” they added.
Massie and Biggs urged Trump to trust his “gut instincts” and ignore advice from establishment interests that have long advocated a drawn-out FPSA military presence in Iraq and Afghanistan.
“You will be best served if you listen to your gut instincts on this momentous decision,” they added. “We urge you to ignore any ‘wisdom’ from the bi-partisan cabal of phony experts in the administrative state that have bungled both military and diplomatic campaigns since their start in 2001 and 2003 respectively.”
Trump is said to be considering a military withdrawal from Afghanistan as part of his regime’s ongoing talks with the Taliban movement, which has fought a 19-year insurgency against the Afghan government and NATO occupation forces.
